Freelance Digital Professional

Sydney | August 2008 — December 2009

After 11+ years leading major digital projects I provided my experience to advertising & creative agencies as a senior-level contractor fulfilling roles as project manager, information architect, and creative/technical producer:

Enfatico (May 2009 — December 2009): As Regional Digital Executive Producer with WPP single-client agency Enfatico, I have been leading Asia-Pacific creative production for Dell's online advertising.

Three Drunk Monkeys (October 2008 — May 2009): With Three Drunk Monkeys (an independent boutique creative agency) I worked on digital projects for Yahoo!7, UBank (NAB's online bank), StarHub and Kia. For StarHub, I was information architect and creative producer on redesign of their website.

Moon Communications Group (August — October 2008): Moon is an integrated brand, design, advertising and interactive agency, owned by Australia's STW Group. For Moon I managed the digital accounts for Westpac Bank, Hutchison 3 Mobile and the RTA. On Westpac I produced the redesign of their public website.

Executive Producer — Interactive | Lowe Worldwide,

Sydney | December 2006 — August 2008

Employed in the Sydney office of Lowe Worldwide, an Interpublic Group agency, I produced digital interactive projects for brands such as Foxtel, Stella Artois, Wonka (Nestlé), Lynx (Unilever), Genesis Energy (New Zealand) and Thomson. In the role of Executive Producer I ensured quality projects were delivered on-time and on-budget. My responsibilities included:

Founder, General Manager | Machinas Digital Development, S.L.

Barcelona + Amsterdam | August 2000 — February 2006

Founded “Machinas”, an internet-focused digital media agency. During my 5+ years tenure, Machinas experienced steady growth with clients in 9 countries. In 2005, Machinas was selected by publisher Taschen to be included in their book “Web Design: Studios” — featuring 90 agencies from around the world dubbed “The web’s hottest design teams”. I sold the business in early 2006, at which point it was supporting 7 full-time staff and delivering large, small, consumer and business websites in a breadth of industries including property, engineering, software and fashion.

Beside the entrepreneurial and operational roles of managing a small business, I managed complete online projects and was hands-on with project tasks — client relationship management; strategy; scoping of project/business requirements; preparation of proposals, estimates and plans; development of functional specifications; information architecture (developing wireframes, storyboards, content structures, prototypes and blueprints); user interface design; user experience design and creative direction.

Freelance Web Designer

London | June 1998 — July 2000

Provided freelance services in web design, development and corporate identity. Clients included Guinness, World Online, Esprit, Schick and Perpetual Fund Management.

Senior Graphic Designer | Esprit

London | September 1997 — May 1998

Esprit is a global fashion company recognised for its design driven identity that has been key to its success in 44 countries. As part of extensive company restructuring, a global image division was established in London, responsible for generating creative solutions for brand material implemented worldwide. I was transferred from Germany to assist with establishing the division.

Duesseldorf | November 1996 — August 1997

Transferred from Esprit in Hong Kong to the image division for Europe to facilitate a closer working relationship between the Asian and European teams. I played a key role in developing a global solution to seasonal pre-production procedures, targeting uniformly high quality whilst reducing pre-production costs.

Hong Kong | July 1994 — October 1996

Employed as a graphic designer in the image division for Asia, I was responsible for design of image, advertising and marketing material used throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
